Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information on the DefiLend platform.

1. Introduction

DefiLend ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services.

Important: As a decentralized finance platform, DefiLend operates differently from traditional financial services. Much of the data related to transactions is stored on public blockchains and is inherently transparent. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle both on-chain and off-chain data.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect and use information about you. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:

Special Note About Wallet Credit Scoring

Our proprietary wallet credit scoring system analyzes your on-chain wallet history to determine creditworthiness for zero-collateral loans. This analysis includes transaction patterns, historical activity, and other on-chain data points. The resulting credit score is used solely for the purpose of determining loan eligibility and terms within our platform.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, or as needed to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

On-chain data is permanently stored on the blockchain and cannot be deleted by us or any single entity due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology.

6. Data Security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
